Issue Description

While Yarn documentation states that PnP is "the default installation strategy in modern releases of Yarn" https://yarnpkg.com/features/pnp, following the official installation guide https://yarnpkg.com/getting-started/install step by step does not result in a PnP-enabled project. This creates confusion for developers new to Yarn.

Current Documentation State

1. The installation guide provides these steps:

   corepack enable
   yarn init -2

2. The PnP documentation extensively covers what PnP is and its benefits, but doesn't provide clear instructions for enabling it in a new project.

Impact

• New developers cannot easily determine how to properly enable PnP
• The documentation implies PnP is default but doesn't match actual behavior
• Multiple historical methods of controlling PnP across different Yarn versions make it difficult to determine the correct current approach

Suggested Improvements

1. Add explicit steps for enabling PnP in the installation guide
2. Clarify the default state of PnP for new projects
3. Document the current recommended method for enabling/disabling PnP
4. Consider adding a troubleshooting section for common PnP setup issues

yarn init -2

This should initialize a PnP project unless your global configuration changes the default nodeLinker. Are you seeing otherwise?
