How to run schedule:work in php8.4 images?

I am upgrading my laravel application from serversideup/php:8.1-fpm-nginx-alpine-v3.0.0 to serversideup/php:8.4-fpm-nginx-alpine-v3.5.2 but unfortunately schedule:work command causing problem to web requests.

FROM serversideup/php:8.4-fpm-nginx-alpine-v3.5.2

COPY --chown=www-data:www-data . /var/www/html

STOPSIGNAL SIGTERM
CMD ["php", "/var/www/html/artisan", "schedule:work"]

USER www-data

How would you suggest to run background tasks in the same container? I don't see documentation for it.

Any help will be really appreciated :)
