Reorganize Discord Channels

Currently our discord channels are organized like this:

We should reorganize to better separate tscircuit users, contributors etc. What do you think? How should we change it?

I think we can separate the channels like

Public Channels (Open to All Users)

• #general – Main discussion
• #announcements – Official updates
• #introductions – New member intros

Contributor-Only Channels (Private)

• #contributor
  • #review-me
  • #contrib-ecosystem
  • #contributions
• #autorouting

This setup ensures a clear separation between general users and contributors while keeping contributor-specific discussions private. Thoughts? @seveibar

i think currently we do not have these type of thing, we can introduce like levelling thing means level1 : new user and then level 2 channels and so on?

I think this would be better as can have different roles and manage easily

This feels like a lot of channels, i'm not sure we would use the staff channels. Also not sure what goes on in a rules channel but it doesn't sound fun hehe

I like the idea of showcase, I also like user feedback.

What is gh-activities?

Also do you know if we can make nested channels in discord? We might need to be at a higher tier?

gh-activities can use GitHub bot to send issue/pr activity to discord.

I don't know if there is nested channels.

Discord does not support nested channels (sub-channels within a main channel) like Slack does, but boosting the server to Level 2 or Level 3 gives you higher limits on channels and categories.

i think we need to tell what this channel is about may be like a follow up channels like roadmap of server also we do not have rules in rules channel. i think @dope is the best for this type of things.

i think there should be a "faq" channel as well where we can answer all frequently asked questions.

we have that on our tscircuit.com website, i think there should be a rules section!. currently it exists but there is no rules in it.
