Fetch tag does not work

• Node.js Version: 20.12.1

It would appear that the <fetch> tag is not working.. The document site and the blog post for the wordpress API example still use the <fetch> tag approach however I see that the starter for the wordpress API no longer uses the tag as part of a commit refering to v5. Is the <fetch> tag deprecated in v5 and the docs need to be updated? Or is this a known issue that will be addressed in the future?
