typst reader: expecting operator

I have a typst file with ctheorems. I want to create a docx file. I get the error:

Is this an error from pandoc or ctheorems?

The error message comes from pandoc (or specifically from its dependency jgm/typst-hs).
It is having trouble parsing the file /home/user/.cache/typst/packages/preview/ctheorems/1.1.3/lib.typ from ctheorems. I'm sure it's valid typst; pandoc's parser just isn't perfect.

Are you using an older pandoc version? I get a slightly different error message:
