Ente Photos launches with blank black background

Endeavor OS (Arch Linux based), ente-desktop-bin from AUR (https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/tree/PKGBUILD?h=ente-desktop-bin)

Closing and reopening via terminal

$ ente-desktop

After deleting /.config/ente , ente relaunches and properly displays photos/albums after re-signing in. No new error messages.

Seems to work for a few days then goes back to blank screen and requires re-wiping the config folder.

This might be related to, and fixed by, #4899. That fix is already in the nightly builds (https://github.com/ente-io/photos-desktop/releases), or you might just wait for a week or so, the next stable release 1.7.9 is expected in a week or so.

If it happens even after updating to 1.7.9, could you retain the recent lines from the logs (~/.config/ente/logs/ente.log) and see if there is anything that catches your eye there (or send them to support, citing this issue).

Just saw that you also mentioned AUR. Official builds might not have the issue - https://ente.io/download
