File extension / type to main view display #1599

Hello. I wanted to write in a separate topic, but I'll write here. I agree with the request. I want to add to it. The main screen displays the file name or title (if any). It's unclear when it's the file name and when the title. In addition, sometimes I need to see the name of the file itself if I want to rename it or something like that. Therefore, I suggest, at a minimum, adding the file extension to the caption. Then it will be clear that this is the file name and its type. Or add it in the settings so that you can change it according to your needs. The same applies to the photo viewer - if it's the file name - add the extension so as not to get confused and make mistakes. Thank you. (Sorry for the mistakes, I hope Google Translate made few of them.) |

Author, please comment. Can we expect changes in the program? Is the file name the same as the photo name? Thank you. |

I like Aves a lot but it has one weakness. You seem to not be able to see file type/extension without pulling up from the viewer. It makes usage very confusing in situations where you have multiple versions of same image (jpg, webp, avif) but from each you see only filename without extension.
Swiping up to info screen you can of course see the file type but when browsing through images fast it does not make sense to swipe up every time just to see the file type. There should be option/setting for showing also file extension at the top of display directly after the filename.
Best Regards, G.L.
