[BUG] Virtual Shifting - shifting time #3112
Comments
Hi Roberto! Tried without mywhoosh just qz. Still the same. |
So it's the trainer itself try that it's slow. You can try to set the trainer under the ftms bike setting in the bike options to check if it's better, usually not Let me know, anyway in case it's unfortunately an issue of the trainer but it's strange because other v5 users don't have this delay |
Thank you for your feedback! Will try the ftms setting. |
Also try to ftms enabled And another try with ftms enabled and zwift gear experimental ratio setting enabled under accessories, zwift setting in qz Let me know |
didn't help. with just ftms, demanded torque was going up and down all the time. ftms_debug-Mon_Jan_27_21_59_55_2025.log |
But this is working correctly on zwift? Or you didn't even try yet?

just tried zwift with direct connection of Kickr core and Zwift click to the laptop this moment. shift changes are shown in the game but the resistance does not change at all on the trainer. cannot do any further tests with my phone in the moment as it suddenly chrashed and now is locked in a bootloop :( |
Omg :( Anyway it seems a problem on the trainer unfortunately

Update: Thank you for your help! |
Describe the bug
Copy paste description from reddit:
I'm using a Kickr Core with Swift Cog, and I'm running Qz on my Android phone along with MyWhoosh on my laptop. First, I want to express my gratitude for this app - the setup process was surprisingly quick and truly plug-and-play, which was fantastic! However, I've noticed one minor issue, though I'm unsure if it's something that can be addressed through Qz. When shifting gears (either up or down), there's a noticeable delay in the resistance change. Unlike a real bike where gear changes happen almost instantaneously, the virtual shifting seems to take about 2 seconds, with a smooth transition between gears. Is there any way to make this gear transition faster?
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
Not sure, how virtual gear changes should feel like, but I guess not that slow?
