Column resizing behavior

When I resize a column to minimize its width:

• If the column is towards the beginning or middle of the viewport, the columns to its right adjust as expected, following the drag interaction line moving left.
• However, when minimizing a column near the end of the scroll viewport, instead of just resizing the targeted column, the columns to its left also shift right, collapsing into the minimizing column. This results in an unexpected layout adjustment where columns overlap or collapse towards the resized column

I am seeking advice on how to eliminate the collapsing behavior and add whitespace to the right of the minimizing column so that the columns on its left do not collapse towards the column being minimized. Any guidance or suggestions to improve this implementation would be greatly appreciated!
