Hello, can you please explain why does the same sting with leading and trailing spaces has different size?

Yep, that's perfectly possible. It's due to the advance on When measuring the first string the advance will be discounted since we're only measuring the size and it's the last glyph however you cannot ignore that advance when measuring the glyph when there are following glyphs. |
