Ichor and Awakned ichor tools from thaumic tinkerer mod (supposed to be thaumcraft end-game tools) unfortunately are not part of tool_overwrites.cfg file meaning they cannot be used to break most of ores or blocks require a higher level (FYI - primal crusher, that much easier to craft, considered as level 11 of pickaxe and shovel).
Also extended metals like adamanite and mithminite from thaumic additions have ridiculous specs as a tinkers construct materials that are not comparable to the complexity of crafting.

Yes, changing Ichor tools mining level will definitely make modpack better. What level you think match them best?

adamanite and mithminite from thaumic additions have ridiculous specs

This is not what I can observe on other player's playthrough. Usually, players doesnt touch magic mods and specially Thaumcraft. For the mining tools players almost always reach for Drills or other electric tools.
So, even if Adaminite and Mithminite materials feels OP, statistical player experience tell otherwise.

In my opinion level of the ichor tools can be 11 (more than elemental tools and same as primal crusher), however, awakned ichor tools much complex in crafting, so their level must be between primal crusher (11) and draconic tools (14). I think 13 is the best option.

I'm pretty deep into thaumcraft and can for sure says Mithrilum is probably one of the more OP tinkers materials before electronics get into the mix but Mithminite is for sure one of the weakest ones of the 3 with poor stats and traits, Adaminite provides great stats but mediocre or even harmful traits (porous, warpshell being bad when warp is removed, deadly gaze breaking your game) , Mithrilum has decent stats but has vis siphon/equilibrium making it a very strong option with relatively easy access with another contender being terasteel if auto tool repair is needed.

Mithrilum is probably one of the more OP

Thank you for the feedback. If more people will report about unbalanced metals, we will take action.

Mithminite is good for tools and weapons. I believe it is the best material for embossment on weapons.
I don't think it's for armor in general. The armor is ok, but has no toughness at all. The trait it has is good if you don't care about experience, but I make heavy use of a caster gauntlet. The experience focus modifier is the best one you can use and requires a high level.
In my opinion, mithminite should be at least equal to primal metal. Maybe give it the creative flying trait on one of the armor pieces, so it can function more like mithminite robes.

Mithrilium and adaminite are fine currently, in my opinion. Adaminite currently has problems because it relies heavily on high warp, and one of the recently added light mods is causing problems with the shader effects applied by Unnatural Hunger, Deadly Gaze, and Sun Scorned.

Adaminite currently has problems because it relies heavily on high warp.

Worse even is that we're incentivised to get rid of the warp with the equipment or live with having warp ward permanently to make it competitive.
Add on top that the traits is very detrimental so it's a hard sell if not for stats (6.6 toughness looked so juicy)

Mithminite is good for tools and weapons. I believe it is the best material for embossment on weapons.

Researcher is genuinely underwhelming, flux strike is a one and done buff which while strong doesn't compete well unless if you really need loot stealer.
Signalum embossment for weapon is super strong early on and void metal is also very strong trait wise.
Tools I'd put on ichorium for sure, the traits make it no contest.

Lumium is far better than signalum or void metal at all stages of the game, as it's the only way to ignore armor outside of using a rapier, plus it has opportunist for 50% bonus damage. You only need a melter for lumium and can easily proc opportunist with constantan, uranium, or thorium.
By the time void metal is readily available, you have better alternatives. Void metal's damage is 4% of the target's current health, and the other trait requires you to maintain temporary warp. Neither make it that useful.
You don't really need traits for damage because modifier slots are easy to get, sharpness has no limit, and you get can get a lot of damage scaling with 50 perk points from astral sorcery (96+% crit chance with 200+% crit damage). When you get to 5x5 crafting, you can make creative modifiers and stack sharpness infinitely.
One thing to remember is that you can't emboss an item multiple times, even if you wipe it with sponge. It's also better to stick to one weapon because of the leveling for free modifier slots.
Flat damage traits also fall off very quickly because of mob scaling.

Ichorium allowing you to ignore mining level seems nice on paper, but the break spell already ignores mining level, can get fortune 4 or silk touch, and is available very early. By the time you get ichorium, primal metal is readily available.

Will of Verac modifier on helm also allows armor pierce on crits which makes me happy going with a scythe for AoE.

The that would suggest Signalum's Bloody Mary being very good no? Add opportunist + ice dragon blood to the mix and you have quite the deadly combo. Deadly precision from platinum is also a % bonus for what's that worth.

By the time you get ichorium, primal metal is readily available.

I'd still argue it's probably one of the better embosses on a pickaxe, maybe mithminite for researcher and refining stacks but I cannot be sure.

Researcher with refining gives you crystalized shards instead of clusters, with level 4 refining, you get 1.75 shards per ore. If you use a compactor to make crystals, you're averaging 2 crystals for 4 blocks, or 8 ingots per block. It completely circumvents the need for any transmutation methods, so there's no need for liquid starlight or maintaining vis/flux levels.

Will of Verac

I forgot about that one will. Other wills are good for more debuffs for the wicked jewel. In this pack, condition overload scaling is [weaponBaseDamage * (1.5 * numNegPotions)], so two debuffs is triple damage. Fire also counts as a debuff

The that would suggest Signalum's Bloody Mary being very good no?

Not necessarily, the max bonus is 60% when the target has 0 health and no bonus at full health. Hearts, for example, is 70% bonus damage when you're at full health, which is easy to maintain with any amount of lifesteal. The target would have to be missing ~80% of their health for bloody mary to surpass opportunist. Damage applies before debuffs, so only the initial hit wouldn't benefit from opportunist.

Ionite is one of the higher damaging materials that also has deadly precision, plus chain lighting that does 25% of the tool's damage. I use a katana because it attacks 4.5 times a second so you will always deal fully charged hits, plus has built in damage scaling.

Of course, none of this matters too much when a 6 damage wooden sword can do 1500 damage with challenger.
Just some pink slime crystals for challenger, some lumium for armor pen and the weapon is basically done because the damage scaling on challenger surpasses the health scaling on mobs.
