How to use on macOS?

I've installed GammaRay 2.6.0 on macOS and I'm having difficulties setting it up to debug an application. Attaching it to a Qt process leads to nothing; GammaRay just loses its window and nothing happens. Launching a Qt application has not proved possible as the "Launch" button is always disabled. How can I use GammaRay on macOS?

could you please try to compile GammaRay v2.7.0 or GammaRay master from sources? There have been lots of changes in that area since v2.6.0 which may fix your issue.

Same problem. This is how it looks like with GammaRay selected after it is attached to the process using the default options. As you can see by the window title, GammaRay should be up - but there are no menu options and my application is showing in the background.

I've solved my immediate problem so I'm happy to close the issue if need be.

The launcher binary selection is fixed in lastest GammaRay.
For oldest GammaRay version, just prepend the binary path inside the bundle (ie, XXX.app/Contents/MacOS/XXX) file path after having selected it.

For the other issue, you may want to start it from the terminal and send us the output produced.

EDIT: Also, very important thing is that you have to build GammaRay using the same Qt version in the same build type as the application to inspect.

Generally, I Build gammaray standard in release and then a debug probe manually, all installed in the same final prefix.
