Based on a user group discussion with our team at the DCC we find there is a common issue or use case we find in many projects. We put it as a user story:
Story
As a researcher downloading a github repository that also requires some data, I find a repository where the data needed is archived in zenodo, I would like to be able to download data as part of the setup for my project.
Can fairly be used for this by simply adding some metadata? Maybe this can simply be added in a setup file in the context of python folders... At least it could work for python projects.
Current pains raised/discussed
Many projects require data to be used, this canbe very manual, it would be great to enable this automatically if people would put some metadata pointing to archived data, for example their dois.....
